Employee Profile - Eric Edelson
Eric has been with Polek and Polek since 2001.  Eric is a Sales Executive who is responsible for his  territory consisting  of the  GA, FL, TN, WV, TX, OK, WA, OR, AZ, UT, SD, ND, MT, WY, IN, KY.  Eric went to East Stroudsburg University in Pennsylvania.  He can be described as fun, kind, thoughtful and honest.

Eric recently wed this past June to his wife, Erin.  He was born in Thailand and was raised in New Jersey.  Outside of Polek & Polek, Eric enjoys golfing, shooting pistols, and watching TV with his wife.

Eric has 1 sister,  Rachel, his lovely mom Rosalyn and a beautiful niece and nephew.  When asked about his favorite Polek & Polek moment, he replied “Going to ITEX and all the different conventions and meeting new people and seeing new places”.  Eric is committed to helping dealers in our industry save money!

Customers with yield concerns?

We occasionally receive calls stating that a toner, drum, cartridge or some other consumable part is not meeting its stated yield. This is a problem that can really impact a dealers profit in a negative way. The end-users often make statements like “it seems like we are using more toner” or “my other cartridge lasted longer”. When dealers investigate further, they often find that the type of documents the end-user is printing is well above the stated OEM yield. These yields are often based on 4% - 6% page coverage depending on the OEM. Ask your customer for some examples of typical printing done throughout the day.  Compare them to the examples of page coverage here.

The increase in toner usage or perceived decrease in yield is almost always relating to page coverage issues. A bottle of toner with a 10,000 page yield at 6% page coverage will drop to 2000 pages at 30% page coverage. An 80% drop! Educate your customer on the page coverage situation and they will understand the toner usage concerns they may have and you may have.
